Hey Everyone,
Got some new stuff this week! It's been a surprisingly busy last couple weeks in the heat of Summer here, a welcome surprise. Let your rep know, if you have time, how things are going where you are. Has it been a busier summer than normal for everybody? Based on the order volume we're seeing, we assume yes, but it's always nice to just be able to chat a few minutes about how business is going so we get the feel for how things are.
But as I was saying, we brought some cool new stuff in this week we've never had before. First up are another new Goldfish. We've been a little bit on a roll lately, since we finally got a reliable new goldfish supplier that has something other than Orandas. And don't worry, those nice Ranchus from last week are coming back, we just didn't get too many the first time since we never know what the quality is going to be like on the first order. But this week, we got some nice 6-7CM Ryukin Calicos. These are absolutely stunning, and anecdotally I'll say Ryukins seem to be one of the healthiest fancy goldfish types that we see the least health issues with. These will look great either from above in a pond-style habitat, or in a normal aquarium.
Next, we got a new strain of Peacock. A lot of ya'll have been saying stuff along the lines of "those OBs ya'll have are always great looking, but I've got customers looking for wild-type pure strains". Well, today's the day, we got some Chidunga Yellow Peacock males, and they look absolutely perfect. The white blaze on the dorsal edge is especially nice, along with the bright blue face and orangish body.
Dragonbloods are also new for this week and we haven't had them in quite a while, but not completely new to us. Still, figured I'd mention it since it's a SKU you haven't seen on our list for probably a couple years.
South American imports were a little on the light side this week, but we did also get a new item from Colombia for the first time in a while. 3-4 inch Tiger Shovelnose cats! We've been getting 2 inch babies for a while now, and they've been selling great, but I know a lot of you are looking for bigger fish so these should fit the bill nicely.
Florida fish continue to be exceptional in the summer heat. Everything from various Tetras to Rainbowfish are running consistently larger than average lately, so we've got plenty of bread and butter for you that will be much, much nicer quality than if you're buying from a wholesaler that's importing everything from Asia.
Reach out to your rep if you have any questions.
-Steven

White and Black Skirt Tetras Neon Tetras Algae Eaters Veil Bettas Reg Mix Angelfish Red Fantails And assorted Platies, Mollies, and Swordtails! |
Don't forget, we sell corals too!
We offer corals through our partner and ex-employee Chris at ACI Aquaculture. He is growing some incredible cultured frags at his facility down the road from us, and importing from the best sources in the world. Whether you're looking for cheap frags that will sell well (single headed aussie duncans, assorted zoanthids, montis) or you're looking for an S-grade Scolymia worthy of any display tank of the best stores in the world, you can get that here. There's honestly so much on the list you can easily triple your money on with minimal effort, that every store that sells saltwater should be getting some corals from us every week. |
Tiger Badis are back and we got a nice professional picture for our website now so figured we'd show it off. They're a beautiful little fish with a big attitude. |
Samurai Gouramis are restocked after we just ran out this past week. New batch looks every bit as great as the last one. Plenty of nice color in the females, as you can see here. |
Purple Rasbora Hets are added to the ever-increasing list of Rasboras available right now. I think we might have more nano fish selection in Rasboras than we've ever had in stock at one time together in the past. |
Flowerhorns are super, super nice this batch. Lots of color and some of them are already even showing little humps. |
Green Scats came in really big this week (compared to the last few batches). These are brackish fish, so definitely need some salt in the water. Would be great tankmates for mollies since those need to be salted to keep them healthy as well. |
Glass Catfish |
The most popular of all the nano fish, probably, Chili Rasboras are restocked. This batch is a little more red than usual (keep in mind, we have them in a completely bare glass tank, so they're always flushed of color here compared to how they'll look when they settle in at your store). |
Orange Chromides look better than Red Spot Gold Severums at this size, and for a fraction of the price! |
Got a nice picture of the Black Widow Frontosas for the website so figured we'd share. Still in stock and at a much lower price than they were 3 or 4 years ago. Inflation is happening to this fish in reverse. |
Black Ruby barbs are running great size. I expect the males to start to darken up and show color any day now. |
Green Tiger barbs came in a lot nicer size than usual too. Great time to pick these up if you're a fan of them. |
Longfin Albino Tiger Barbs are here for the first time ever. Look closely and you can see the fin color that blends in with the skin behind them. On a dark gravel i think these would really pop. |
Red Honey Gourami are still coming in absolutely massive (for a dwarf gourami). These are basically full grown fish. |
Probably the nicest pink kissers I've seen in a couple years here. Size is average probably 3 inches, super super solid. And look, he's ready for a smooch! |
Diamond Tetras continue to run big. There are few community fish that look better than a nice adult diamond tetra. |
lemon tetras are great size this week. Always very limited and tend to sell out quick. |
Blushing White Longfins are also running basically full grown, super nice fish. They have a nice unique look to them as well. |
I never would have thought silver dollars would be something I'd be advertising as a new inclusion to the list for the week, but we haven't had these guys in a few months. Finally restocked! |
Pacu are back too. This is hands down the worst possible pet fish a store could sell to a customer. We all here would recommend you not buy these from us and not sell them. Having said that, they're for sale if you want them, They get like 30 pounds and too big to turn around in a 125 gallon tank. |
Assorted Endlers are looking extra nice. Endlers also hold up MUCH better than guppies, so if you can never seem to keep guppies alive for more than a few weeks, maybe try endlers next order! |
Lots and lots of beautifully colored guppies to pick from still at the end of the week here, with a restock coming Sunday. Like these Red Rose. |
Red Tiger Platy are a bit of a "premium" platy, but definitely worth the extra cost. The pattern on this batch is very nice with tons of red and not as much white. |
Redtail Black Variatus are one of my all time favorite livebearers. The color is simply amazing, the red and black combo looks so nice together. I'd definitely recommend these over any platy, any time. |
Green Swordtails look awesome. This batch has almost entirely nicely spotted males like the one pictured here. Females don't show quite as much spotting, but they do have some. Beautiful versions of a fish that's normally pretty average. |
Marigold Wag Swords are new for the first time in a long time, and have awesome size and color. Definitely my top pick for Swords this week. |
The pineapple wag swords also came in great size this week. Not quite as big, and not as brightly colored as the marigolds, but you can't go wrong with these either. |
Green Sailfin Mollies are restocked. Probably 60% males in this group. |
Medium Turquoise Rainbows are absolute monsters. Probably the biggest rainbows I've ever seen the rainbow breeder send us as a "medium". |
Deepwater creek are getting shown off again because they're still one of the best looking rainbows in full coloration for about the 3rd month straight. I get orders for rainbows every day, and everyone's ordering boesemani, turqouise, parkinsoni, and neon dwarves. Please buy these instead, they're way, way nicer and you'll be happier. |
Featherfins restocked after being out for a few weeks now. One of my favorite rainbows for smaller tanks, and they make a great display. The males "flare" their fins at each other like Bettas do, and it looks super cool. |
New 2-2.5" assorted discus are closer to the 2 inch side of things, and have a lot of really neat looking dark red ones like this in the mix. We can't just pick these out for you, but you have a good chance of getting them in your mix if you order more than 3. |
2-2.5" Assorted, others look mostly more like this, nice turquoise types. Not many pigeonbloods in the mix. |
2" Purple are a new interesting color discus we just got in too this week. Check out pictures of adult purples online, they're pretty neat and something different from the norm. |
Central/South American Cichlids
3 inch Cubans are looking fan-freaking-tastic. You should be ordering these. They're the most underrated central american cichlid by far. Look way cooler than Jack Dempseys, and everybody wants Jacks. |
Speaking of Jacks, we have them in stock finally! Regular and medium size are both in stock this week. I still think if you're wanting medium jacks you should just try the Cubans instead, but I guess there's no denying Jacks are good looking fish. |
5" dovii are somehow still here, not sure how they didn't sell out, but you've got one more chance at them. Beautiful big aggressive fish. |
Salvini Mediums are back and looking good. I like this strain a lot, where they have the greenish color in the black markings and the red bellies. |
Red Spot Gold Severums are from Florida right now, not imported. The color is natural and will not fade, and only gets better with age. These are absolutely beautiful when full grown. |
A slightly different Severum, Red Spot Turquoise, are also in stock. These do get a lot more red in the body when they grow, just like the gold red spots do. |
Albino German Red Peacocks are restocked and just as beautiful as the last ones. Absolutely love this strain of albino, they show a lot more color instead of just being pink like the albino sunshines sometimes are. |
A first time strain for us here, Chidunga Yellow Peacocks! These are a sunshine relative with a little bit more of an orange color instead of pure yellow. For those cichlid purists out there that have been waiting on pure-strain collection-point named type fish.....here's your fish! |
Dragonbloods are in stock, and are actually mixed sex. Females still llook pretty decent on these though, keeping a nice pinkish color. Females are also slightly smaller, but they're big enough to spawn tomorrow for you. |
if you prefer your African Peacocks more spotted, we have some OB Butterfly still hanging around. |
Medium Mixed Haps are a great value with some awesome fish in it like this Victorian male and the beautiful blue guy below. |
Keep discovering some great finds in the large assorted Hap mix like this Sunset Strigatus. The only time we ever seem to be able to get these is in an assortment. |
There's even a Tangerine Tiger in the large mix haps! |
We've had these a couple weeks now and keep forgetting to mention it. But everyone's favorite Mbuna, the Trewavasae "Marmolade Cat" are back at a medium size! |
Large Albino Bushynose have some beautiful big males in the tanks ready for sale. Females are of course a little smaller, since females dont get as big as males. |
New size Tiger Shovelnose are in stock! These are 3-4 inches, and still a great price. Much more substantial than the little 2 inch ones we've been bringing in lately. |
Driftwood Catfish are still here from Peru. These came in a month ago and I think we've had zero die. Literally zero. Great option for a super hardy and interesting fish to sell in your shop, and they're good size too (3 inches or so) |
Gold Rams on special, and Florida bred! Great, hardy rams. |
German Black Rams are looking very nice lately, I think they like the summer heat here. |
Dwarf Gourami - the wild type all-male are on special. |
Small Royal Pleco we're a little overloaded on qty-wise, so on special. not on special because they're extra small or bad in any way. Very decent fish. |
Longfin Rosy Barb are on special and actually pretty fantastic looking. |
Albino Pacu are still on special for about 2 months straight now. Once these are gone, I don't think we're ever ordering them again, so get them if you want them. |
"Pagoda" Snail are a lot different from the nice big Pagoda we had a few weeks back. They're way, way cheaper though on special and still kind of neat looking. |
