As you can imagine it's been pretty crazy here with the Electric Green Angel launch still going strong and Super Zoo is right around the corner (next week)! So with all that being said the commentary on this week's newsletter is going to be brief but the pics certainly aren't. TONS of new stuff this week so please be sure to check out everything down below.
Got in a new fish (or at least new to us) from Indo this week, Red Lipstick Goby. At the moment they're around 1.25-1.5" in total length. This a dwarf species that as an adult will max out around 2". And as the name suggests the males are sporting red colored lips and eventually the latter half of the body will match that color. This rare freshwater species does great in planted aquariums so it's perfect for the nano craze that continues to dominate the hobby. Also in that same category we got restocked on Kubotai aka Neon Green Rasboras. These are very small but that never seems to discourage anyone as we are usually sold out within a week. And one more to add to the nano list of incoming are the Neon Redfin Rice fish. On the opposite end of the spectrum got restocks on both Redtail and Tiger Shovelonse Cats. For something a bit more practical in the way of scavengers Barbatus Cories came in along with Borneo Suckers, Sewellia Hillstream and Zodiac Loaches. And somehow I always manage to leave out Inverts in this opening segment but I'm including them this week as we got in some gorgeous Gold Yellow Stripe Shrimp, Amanos came in huge and the Deluxe assorted is definitely that this week including a couple of Rili types in the mix.
As I said we're short on time this week so I'm just gonna jump straight to the Florida raised Cichlids. Wish I had more time to spend on this so please check out the pics below cuz we got a TON of stuff this week. First one to stand out are the Bifasciata. Got them in both 4" and 5" sizes this week and both look amazing. Already showing good color and that's only going to get better as time goes on. And if big aggressive fish are your thing then check out the Fredrichstahli aka Yellow Jackets. Couple of different sizes on those and already displaying fantastic color and pattern. Those will pair nicely with the 4" Managuense aka Jaguars and Cubans that also came in this week. But if you're looking for something smaller then check out the regular Blue Acaras. I've said it a million times, I think this is a better looking fish than the EB counterpart. And if you are in need of Geos then this is the week to stock up. Got Heckelii, Steindachneri Balzani and Brasiliensis. Sizes vary with each but I can say this with absolute certainty, you can't go wrong with any of them.

| Geophagus Suranamensis are here for the first time in years. Price and size is fantastic and I'm sure these are going to sell out quick as a result. I will be shocked if I don't see orders of 24 per store on Monday morning, so even though we got a couple hundred they'll go quick. |

| Everyones favorite wild Green Neon tetras are not new or exciting, but they're back in stock and we move thousands of these every time they come back in so if you're not carrying them you're missing the boat. |

| PSA: This is the size of the Blue Phantom plecos and the price is correct. |

| Exodon Parodoxus (Bucktooth Tetra) are still coming in huge. These make one of the most interesting species-only tanks you can do in freshwater. |

| . Agassizi Cory cats came in really great size as usual, and are worth the value over the Albino or Greens that everyone carries. |

| The other great sized wild cory this week are the Punctatus. |

| Brown Ghost knives got restocked and make a great oddball fish to carry because they're cool and a great value. You get a lot more fish per dollar with these than you do with the more typical Black Ghost knives. |

| These medium sized Bumblebee cats didn't sell out last week, and I'm confused why that is. These are cheap, big, and super cool. |

| New fish alert!!! Red Lipstick Gobies! We've never had these little guys before. They just showed up this morning and are a little pale but we can already see the red lips and red tail, so I think that in the near future after they settle into your store tanks with some substrate they should look really good. We've been ordering these every 2 weeks for a year without them showing up, so if you're on the fence I'd say grab them now, it might be a long time until we can restock once they sell out. |

| Thayeri Dwarf Acaras came back in this week, and are at least double the size they were the first two times we got them recently. These should be easy to move if you have anyone that likes to set up dwarf cichlids to breed at home. |

| Everyone's favorite little African Cichlid, Kribensis, are back this week. Size is really good this time just like last shipment. You can easily tell which ones are females already with the purple bellies. |

| Red Panda Barbs are one of the coolest barbs in the hobby that many stores have never tried before. They're a little pricier which i think scares some of you away from them, but they're much more peaceful than most other barb species, and get pretty big and turn a very rich red color. They make perfect species for a big planted tank. |

| Zodiac Loaches haven't been around in a while so I'm excited to see them on the list this week. These are a little bit chunkier bodies than some of the other loach species like Kulis, and have a great zig-zaggy type pattern that looks really cool. |

| Sewellia (Reticulated Hillstream)_ loaches got a small restock this week, but we didn't get very many so they will very likely be gone on Monday. |
|

| Knight Gobies are the other Goby in stock this week, and we do usually keep these in stock. These are a brackish species so make sure to add some salt to the tank you hold them in. |

| One of my favorite Cory Cat species is back in stock, Barbatus! These get a lot bigger than most other species and have a super unique look that I personally love. They get a nice cool greenish calico color in the face too |

| Albino Cherry Barbs are super big and bright. Absolutely beautiful and eye catching right now. |
|
 |
| EB Rams have been hard to come by lately so glad to see them back on the list this week. Regular German Blue Rams have been out of stock a few weeks now, but the EBs have come down in price a lot recently making them barely more than the standard type. |

| Gold Pearl Gouramis are huge this week. |

| Everyone's favorite Rainbow, Bosemani, are staying in stock relatively well lately. Only available at Reg size, but as you can see even at Reg they have good color. |

| Bifasciatus are available in two sizes, and these have got to be one of the coolest looking cichlids when they grow up. Nothing else looks even close to these guys, beautiful fire red and gold. See below. |

| Medium Geo Brasiliensis are in stock, not showing much color yet, but with a TINY bit more growth theyll get blue all over their bodies and look great, you won't have to wait long. |

| Medium Balzani are also restocked this week, looking absolutely awesome even at this size. Super unique fish, and quite peaceful. I'd honestly call them a community fish. You could put one Balzani in a tank with little tetras and it wouldn't bother them at all. |

| Keeping on the Geophagus theme, Steindachneri (red humps) are also new this week! These get a bright red nuchal hump on their foreheads when they mature, super cool looking. |
|
 |
| And we got a couple of these 5 inch Heckelli restocked this week as well. I wish the breeder could come up with more than a half dozen or so at a time for us, but that's all that we can ever get in one batch, and they sell out quick. |

| Jaguar (Managuense) cichlids are also new for this week, another nice looking big predatory Central American. |
|
 |
| Locally bred "red dragon" flowerhorns at 5 inches are new for this week. Not a ton of color like the imported Flowerhorns usually show, but the price is a fraction of what imported flowerhorns cost. A nice 5 inch import would be $150 or more, these guys are like 10% of that cost lol. |

| Arguably one of the best looking of these big predatory type Central Americans, Fredrichstahli (Freddy) Cichlids l;ook fantastic. Also called "Yellowjacket" cichlids for good reason, they have awesome yellow color. |

| Large Red Empress are without a doubt one the best looking freshwater fish in the hobby today. |
|
 |
| 4-5" Azureus are expected in by the end of the week. You can bet we will definitely be taking some of these to Super Zoo in a couple weeks. |

| Got a possible new fish or at least for the first time in ages as no one here remembers having them in recent years, Otopharynx Tetrastigma. These are running around 4"+ and are showing color but like most species in this genus they need to be just a touch bigger to be in full adult color. This is one that will have the Cichlid geeks coming out of the woodwork. I can say that cuz I'm one of them lol. |
