*CLOSED MONDAY 9-1 FOR LABOR DAY!  We will not be here to take your order Monday.  Nothing will pack on Monday for Tuesday arrival*

Orders submitted on or before Monday will pack Tuesday for Wednesday arrival at the earliest.  if you Prefer Thursday or Friday arrival, that is fine, just let your rep know.

Tuesday packing is going to be hectic here as a result.  If you ship via UPS.  I would HIGHLY recommend shipping for Thursday or Friday arrival instead of Wednesday this week to give us a day to "catch up" for missing Monday and likely have a better fill-rate on your order.
20% OFF on all GloFish® DANIOS the whole month of September!  We have never in company history done a blanket discount on GloFish® before, so this is a huge opportunity.

    News & New Items
    Hey folks,

Gonna start this week's newsletter off a little differently as we're doing something we've never done before. For the entire month of September we are offering 20% off then entire GloFish® Danio line. That includes all colors and assortments. Production has been so good on these this year that we have enough inventory to offer such a promotion. This gives everyone an opportunity to create their own specials on these hot little gems to help generate some much needed sales for this time of year. After Labor Day many parts of the country see a bit of a down turn heading into the fall. This will give everyone some added incentive to run some promotions to help facilitate an increase in customer interest. Plus I wouldn't stop there, this is a perfect time of year to run other specials to encourage bigger ticket sales. So feel free to be creative and use this to your advantage.

Now onto this week's incoming. In the spirit of doing things differently we're going to start with Florida Raised Cichlids. Brody is particularly excited this week because we have managed to procure the largest amount of rare/cool brown Central/South American Cichlids money can buy. Just kidding, they're not all brown but we did get in a ton of really cool stuff including some species I haven't seen come though here since I came onboard. We'll start with Brody's favorite, the Chocolate Cichlid. Now while I do give him grief for his weird fascination with predominantly dull colored fish this is one I do agree with. While I don't agree with one of their other common names the Emerald Cichlid (there's nothing emerald about them) I do agree that these are very impressive as adults. We have two sizes this week both regular and medium. The mediums are pretty awesome I must admit.

As for my favorites this week I'm torn between the Yellow Jackets aka Fredrichstahli and the Lyonsi Cichlids. Both are not only fantastic looking adults once they mature but also look pretty sharp as juvenile. Neither are super common so you will have die hard Cichlid enthusiasts coming out of the woodwork to get these. One of my other favorites to came in albeit not the most well behaved species are the Dovii aka Wolf Cichlids. Got two sizes on these, regular and 5" aka ready to kill everything in sight. Despite growing to a very large size coupled with a bad attitude these fly out of here every time we get them in. We got plenty of other gems in this category but it's too much to list here so you'll just have to check them out down below.

Got a decent Colombia shipment in last night and while it was mostly filled with restocks we did get a few new things in including Pink Tail Chalceus. These are basically an overgrown Tetra but you'll still want to keep them with similar sized tankmates. We also got in some very nice sized Peacock Bass which look to actually be Temensis but they came in a little rough so check with your rep next to see when they will be shipping out. And on the opposite side of the spectrum we got restocked on Green Neon Tetras. As I've said in the past these always sell quickly on name alone.

No shortage of far east imports as usual. My two favorites actually came in last week but it was too late to include them in the email. First are the Turkana Jewel Cichlids. This is by far my favorite variant of this genus. Color is absolutely outrageous. Pics don't do them justice especially in our glass bottom tanks. But that not withstanding these still look amazing so just imagine them over substrate. Plus these aren't as aggressive as some other Jewels so they remain relatively intact. My other favorite are the Apistogramma Pandurini "Blue Sky". This is a less common strain of this species and the males look incredible as adults. As far as I know this is the first time we've had them here. But believe it or not we did actually get some that isn't a Cichlid that I'm excited for and that's the Marble Moray Eel. Albeit a brackish species these tend to be pretty hardy and settle in pretty quickly. And last but definitely not least are the Thai Micro Crabs. I don't even need to pitch these. Bring a few in and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've never seen anything so small sell so incredibly well.

Reach out to your rep if you have any questions.

Put up a pic of these before but it really didn't show just how big the 10-12" Silver Arowanas really are.
Pinktail Chalceus came in pretty big this time around with super bright tails. These are essentially overgrown Tetras, just don't put them with anything they could easily swallow.
Exodons may not play well with others but they make for an impressive species only display tank. These are always sought after by South American enthusiasts.
Green Neon Tetras got a restock this week. These always sell out based on their name alone.
Pic may be a bit fuzzy but I wanted to illustrate how Pygmy Cories act more like a schooling Tetra than they do a bottom dwelling catfish. Got another restock this week so hopefully these will continue to get filled after the holiday.
Latest batch of small Royal Plecos are closer to a medium size this week. Really clean fins on most of these as well.
New Farlowellas are a bit rangy in size this week This is actually one of the smaller ones so they're running pretty nice right now.
    Asia Imports
Still got some 15-16cm Assorted Orandas on hand. With fancy goldfish availability being what it is it wouldn't be a bad a bad idea to pick up a couple of these. They're not cheap but definitely hard to come by and having a higher priced ticket item in your store will make the rest of your goldfish selection look like a great value.
The 15-16cm Assorted Oranda mix quite a few of these guys in the mix which are highly sought after by collectors.
Electric Blue Rams have been a bit spotty in their availability lately but this week's batch looks to be on point both in size and color.
I know I mention these a lot but you can't argue with sales and Bangkok Flowerhorns are one of the best selling far east raised Cichlids out there. But if you're looking for something more on the home grown side check out the Florida raised Trimacs further down below. They're one of the main natural occurring species used to create these gorgeous monsters.
This is a stock photo of Tiniwini Danios. What we have do NOT look like this but they will once they settle in. They are very small and very silver at the moment but turn out to be one of the best looking species of Danio.
Emerald Dwarf Rasboras are running small as usual but they are one of the most popular nano fish even if you need magnifying glass to tell what they are.
Marble Moray Eels somehow snuck in under the radar this week as I didn't notice them until late last night. Mention these every time they come in but that's because they're worth mentioning every time they come in. While not truly freshwater I've seen them hold up so long as the water conditions were hard with a high pH level. They do best under brackish conditions and take readily to live prey such as ghost shrimp.
Got another restock on 3" Clown Loach this week. Still have a handful of 4 Inch left as well, which are well worth the extra dollar or whatever extra over the 3 inch.

Neon Dwarf Rainbows are still coming in at a pretty good size but that's sure to change once the water temps start to drop down here in another month or so therefore it's best to stock up now.
Regular Bosemani Rainbows are running a bit on the small side but the color is still good. Best selling Rainbow species despite it's name.
Blue Gouramis look very nice this week but like most domestically raised Gouramis at the moment the size is all over the place as shown here.
Pearl Gouramis are back in stock after being on hiatus for a bit. They are definitely running pretty small but color is decent.
German Blue Rams are available in both regular and medium sizes this week. Mediums, which is what's featured n the pic, are definitely worth the extra money. Size and color is outstanding on these.
German Black Rams just keep coming in darker and darker, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. People in the market for this strain want the as close to black as possible. These will continue to get darker with age.
Medium Black Angels looking super clean and super dark. Don't judge them too harshly from the pic as they lighten up the second you take them out of a net.
I wish the regular Blue Acara were more photogenic. This is a great looking little fish and in my opinion nicer looking than the more commonly available EB version.
I feel as though Rainbow Cichlids need a more accurate name. I'm thinking something along the lines of Golden Sunrise Cichlid. Either way we got mediums in this week and the pic speaks for itself, they look amazing.
    Tetras
I'm sure there are plenty of you are sick of seeing these in the email week after week but until they quit coming in awesome and huge I'm gonna keep featuring them. truth be told this is a pic I took a while ago as the current ones are even nicer than this so I know no one will be disappointed with them.
Lemons Have been coming in at a nice consistent size. These tend to disappear during the winter months so might not hurt to buy a few more than you might need.
Embers seem to be one of those fish that almost never disappoint. Size is always consistent and they always seem to hold up really well.
Red Eye Tetras having been running nice and big all summer long. This week is no exception.
Silver Hatchets got a restock this week and look to be holding up really well so far.
.  Just like the Black Phantoms I'll stop featuring these when they stop being awesome. Which will probably be pretty soon as these tend to be unavailable during the winter which is ironic given their common name.
    Livebearers
    Red Dragon Dumbo Guppy
    Assorted Endler's

Assorted Platy are running big this week.
    Red Tiger Platy
Pineapple Sword-mostly female but fantastic color
    Marigold Wag Sword
    Dalmation Lyretail Molly
    Central/South American Cichlids
One of these days I'll set up a tank big enough to do a photo shoot of these guys so everyone can see just how amazing the 5" Heckelii really are. Color is stunning, streamers are flowing and the iridescence on these is radiant. These really are show fish at this size and this might be the nicest group I've seen come through here.
Medium Red Spot Gold Severums might be one of the best looking fish here on the farm, period. And for those of you who don't read this every week these are Florida raised and are all natural color, no hormones
Medium Balzani are in for the first time in months. And while they're not showing humps yet they're right on the cusp. One of the more underrated Geos.
Brody is beside himself with excitement as we managed to bring in the epitome of big brown fish, Chocolate Cichlids. Now to be fair these are really nice as adults and always sell out immediately when we get them. Have two sizes available, medium is pictured.
Got every size of Cuban Cichlid imaginable this week. These are the 2" which you can still keep together before they start to kill each other. Despite their relatively small adult size these guys still fall under the "tank buster" moniker as they are extremely aggressive and territorial yet still one of my all time favorite Central/Southies.
As I just mentioned we've got just about every size of Cuban you could want including this four incher. By the time they get to this size you'll want to keep them separated if you want their fins to stay intact. But they are starting to show why they are one of the best looking new world Cichlids out there.
Got only a handful of large Dempseys this week and while I try to grab as many as I can it never seems to be enough. These will probably be gone before I'm done typing this.
Large Green Terrors are running around 4". They're called "large" because that's by comparison as to what's typically available. Anything above a regular doesn't last more than a couple days around here so don't dilly dally if you want a couple.
Dovii aka Wolf Cichlids are back in stock but won't be here for long. Even though this is one of the most impractical Cichlids to keep due to it's large size and hyper aggressive behavior these continue to be immensely popular. Pictured here is the 2" size so at least they'll be manageable for a while.
But if you don't want to wait to have a large aggressive fish to sell then look no further than the 5" Dovii. These will already need to be kept separate from each other but doesn't matter as these will be gone in a heartbeat. Color is already great on these. Look like miniature versions of the adults.
Lyonsi Cichlids (yes, I'm working on a more marketable name) are in for the first time in eons. Super underrated and relatively rare in mainstream markets. Typically found through private breeders or as tine far east imports. These are a Trimac relative but don't get quite as big and aren't as murdery. Still aggressive but manageable, these guys are already starting show off some great color and will only get better from here.
Yellow Jacket Cichlids aka Fredrichstahli are back for the first time in over a year. These are running about an inch and a quarter but are already starting to show hints of their adult appearance. If you've never seen them as adults google a pic, they're fantastic. These usually come in with a bit of a price tag given the size but these came in at a scorcher of a deal so don't miss out.
Regular Trimacs are back and are still small enough where they're not trying to kill each other yet. For those of you who aren't familiar with them this is one of the main species used to create Flowerhorns. These don't get quite as gaudy as their Frankenstein counterparts but still grow up to become quite spectacular in their own right.
    Old World Cichlids
I know I've featured these a few times recently but the large Zebra Obliquidens have been coming in as absolute screamers. Obviously this a male in the pic and females lack the red and yellow coloration but they still retain the zebra stripes making them more attractive than most Victorian females.
Pseudotropheus Deep Msobos are showing predominantly female coloration for the time being but I highly recommend looking up a google pic of the males, they're outrageous as adults and this isn't an Mbuna type you'll find in a box store.
4" Import Peacocks continue to come in with blazing color. Full disclosure I'm sure these are juiced but at the same time at this size they tend to retain most of their color especially if they're fed a high quality diet.
This  Red Peacock found in the same batch as the above 4" Import Peacock. Great mix in this batch.
Got a handful of OB Tequila Sun Haps that didn't make it to SuperZoo. These are one of the best looking OB crosses out there with super high contrast.
    Plecos
Regular Bushynose are at a pretty good size for the first time in a while. Now by pretty good size I mean around an inch, which is about twice as big as they've been.
Regular Lemon Blue Eye Bushynose have been getting restocked with some frequency. They're running right around an inch in size but people don't seem to care as these sell out every time we get them.
Punctatus are probably the best looking Cory this week in terms of size and pattern. These have always been one of my favorites for a reason.
Albino Hoplo Cats been here for a couple weeks now and continue to look great. Just keep forgetting to put them in the email.
    Inverts
Super hyper close-up of the Thai Micro Crabs. Don't really need to say much on these as the demand far outweighs the supply.
This is what the Thai Micro Crabs look like without the use of a telephoto lens.
Getting low on Hermit Crabs. We usually place our order a month in advance and there's usually a gap in between shipments so grab some before we're out for a couple weeks.
New Fire Shrimp are well deserving of their name this week.
