Hey folks,
Welp short week was short. Been super busy trying to cram a week's worth of shipping into only 3 days but hopefully everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. But because it was a shortened week I am going to keep the opening monologue brief. Not Just because we're short on time but because I would rather everyone spend their time going through the pics down below. Since a number of you didn't order over the holiday I'm going to assume many of you skipped last week's email so I have kept many of those highlights in. But more importantly I want people to take time checking out the pics because we just picked up a new supplier out of Taiwan and got some amazing new items on this first order! Please keep in mind that since some of these items are new we may not have item numbers or pricing available till Monday so please check with your rep.
So obviously that's where we're gonna start. Shrimp, shrimp and more shrimp. I could spend the entire time here writing about not only the new varieties we got in but some of the standard types we got from the new vendor as well since they all look absolutely incredible. But I will keep it brief and let the pics do most of the talking. First up are the Golden Bee Shrimp. This is a Caridina species which can be known for being a bit more sensitive than Neocaridina types but so far not only have these been holding up great they are the most impressive looking. They're huge (by shrimp standards) and the color is amazing. These are quickly going to become one of our top sellers for sure. Next are the Blue Bolts. This is the one that I can guarantee are gonna sell on name alone as this variety is extremely popular amongst hobbyists. Size is also big on these and the color fantastic. Also running big (as the name would suggest) are the Green Hulks. Very dark at a first glance but as you'll see from our close up pic the color is very rich. One of the big surprises in the group for me were the Green Rilis. We've had Rilis in red, orange and even blue but never green before. I can say these are by far the nicest color out of all the Rili types.
It wasn't just about shrimp for the Taiwan shipment, got in some new and exciting fish as well. Most impressive are without a doubt the Rachovii Killies. These are the most stunning I have ever seen in person. These were only here a matter of minutes and they were already sparring. This is an all male group but shouldn't matter for most since the females are void of color. Be sure to keep plenty of structure in their tank as they are very aggressive towards each other. We use shredded plastic here and that does the trick in a pinch. New Fish Alert!!! We got in Scratched Kerri Tetras (horrible name) for the first time ever and these did not disappoint. As the name suggests this is a Kerri/Emperor relative. Similar in size and body shape but with a fine pinpoint striped pattern. Very unique and super attractive. These are big and the color is already starting but will only intensify as they settle in. Next to the the Killies the is the most exciting fish we have gotten in some time. Next up are the African Banded Barbs. We may have had these in the past but it's been years as we have not had them since I arrived. An elongated open water schooling species these guys stay relatively small (around 6cm) and are quite peaceful. This instantly makes them an easy sell and that doesn't even include the fact that they get a reddish orange background color to them as they settle in. And in addition to new fish and shrimp we also got in a couple of new snails, Red Ramshorn and Blue Ramshorn. These are so bright they almost look artificial.

| Blue Bolts are probably the most requested shrimp we've been asked for for years. This incredible looking rich blue Caridina have been around in the hobby longer than most fancy shrimp types, so they have great name recognition with your customers. As Caridinas, they're a little harder to breed so you don't have to worry about the market being flooded with cheaper ones any time soon. Your customers will pay the higher premium for these premium grade shrimp, trust me. |

| Golden Bees are probably the biggest surprise of the shipment. I knew they'd be cool, but the size they arrived in was the best part, as these are fully grown adult shrimp we got sent. The color on them is a little more of a subtle beauty, as you can see in the zoomed photo here with nice orange and white contrast, which gives more of a gold effect (hence the name) when viewed from a distance. | My personal favorite of this shrimp shipment are these Green Rili. I mean, look at this thing. The intense green pigmentation is speckled with legit gold color that makes such an awesome looking blend. They came in great size, and they'll definitely catch people's eye in the shop. As an added bonus, Rili types are neocaridinas, so much easier to keep and breed. No more difficult than a cherry shrimp. |

| Sulawesi Snow Zebra are the most unique of these new offerings. Do some reading on the super unique habitat of Sulawesi Shrimp before you impulse buy these, but they're absolutely stunning there's no doubt about that. They almost remind me of minuature saltwater "cleaner shrimp" with their long whiskers and red and white color. |

| Green Hulk are a super intense dark green like the Green Rili, but this is a Caridina instead of a Neo and the body is fully green without the clear band in the middle. From a distance or under dimmer lighting, they're so dark they almost look black, but as you can see here this is a truly green shrimp. |

| A common type we usually carry, but significantly better quality from this new supplier, Red Rili shrimp. These popular Neos are a staple in the trade for good reason. And both the size and color saturation of these new ones are twice as nice as the shrimp we've been getting from our older standard supplier. Definitely worth adding to your order |

| Also new to the list for the first time ever are these beautifully colored Ramshorn snails. The perfect snail companion in a small planted tank. We got both Blue and Red varieties, and they look way better than the normal brown ones that hitchhike in on plants sometimes. |

| Here's the red/pink ramshorn. I think these are going to be super, super popular. They're cheap, and they stand out in a planted tank very well because of the bright pinkish contrast with your dark green plants. |

| We got a batch of the best looking (and biggest) Rachovii aka Bluefin Notho Killifish any of us have ever seen. You do NOT want to sleep on these, get them before they're gone. We may never get more as nice as this again. All males, so all full color exactly like this photo. |

| A big surprise for this week were these Inpa Tetras, another first time ever for our stocklist! We expected these to come in tiny like rare tetras usually do, but these came in damn near full-grown, and showing tons of color already. We included a web photo below so you can see better because the picture of them out of the water doesn't show it at all, but the red dotted lines that go all the way down their sides are already fully visible. These will be a fish your customers have never seen before, almost for certain, and anyone that likes having the coolest stuff possible is going to want these. |

| Also new this week, African Banded Barbs! I think it's been 6 or 7 (**frantic hand gestures, as the cool kids do**) years since I've seen these here. It's a variety of barb that does better in soft water, neutral to low PH, making them PERFECT for planted tanks. |

| Speaking of barbs, don't forget the checkerboard! Another super underrated barb species thats much less aggressive than tigers and have awesome color in both body and fins |

| Galaxy Rasboras (CPDs) are restocked, and about as big as they can possibly be. |

| Vampire Swordtails always look nice, and this batch it no exception. honestly probably nicer than normal, with deep red velvet color like they're supposed to have. |

| EB Jacks are also a popular asian import you need to always keep in stock. Always, no exceptions (unless you don't like making money) |

| Rocket Gars are great size right now for a very manageable and inexpensive oddball predator. |

| Can't remember the last time we had Wild Oscars available but they're in this week and just as awesome as ever. Running close to an 1.5" I will put these over most aquarium strains of Oscar any day of the week. |

| Large royal plecos look absolutely picture-perfect. Perfect fins, perfect pattern, nice full bellies, don't feel hollow inside. |

| On the opposite end of the spectrum the Blue Phantom plecos continue to come in at a small size but the color is very nice. |

| Metae aka Bandit Cories are one of the most popular species for a reason. Nice clean pattern, hardy as can be and best of all one of the most marketable names in the hobby. |

| Concolor Cories are back for the first time in months. Once settled these have an almost half & half coloration to from dark to light giving them a vey unique appearance. |
|
 |
| Medium Red Rainbows are looking exceptional. The males are looking way better than they normally do at this size. |
|
 |
| Assorted male Rainbowfish are a great option as always if you don't want to sell rainbows as pairs or sell off the females for cheaper to get rid of them. You can pay a little extra and get nothing but males if that's more your speed. The mix changes daily. |

| Kohaku Koi Sword are running huge right now, I can fully endorse these as the best swordtail for this week. |
|
 |
| Red Koi Guppy are probably the most eye catching guppy still in stock by the end of the week here, but we should be restocking all guppy colors early next week. |

| Gold Neon Rosy Barb have a small restock. This is a big upgrade from normal rosy barbs, since the females are gold now instead of brown. |

| Got big normal Gold Barbs back in stock. Hopefully they make it past Monday. I don't think there's any more to restock after these go. |

| The 4" and 5" RHTs sold out in about five minutes last week which we pretty much expected. What I didn't expect is that I was able to get more on both sizes. So if you missed out last week you got another chance to grab some gorgeous exaples of the most popular Geo in the hobby. |

| Regular Salvini are just barely starting to show some color but given the price point these are an easy sale for anyone. |
|
 |
| Medium Blue Aureus are in this week. This is a slightly less aggressive cousin of the Firemouth. |

| 3" Red Devils are here with quite a few pieds in the mix. |
|
 |
| 3 Inch Cuban cichlids are probably the most underrated of all the CA Cichlids. They're like Jaguars but objectively just better looking. |
|
 |
| Got in a new batch of large male Taiwan Reefs. Arguably one of the most attractive "Hap" types in the hobby. |
|
 |
| Also got some "medium" Taiwan reefs for your cheapskate customers that never want to pay $60 for a full colored fish and would rather watch a little one grow. |
|
 |
| New Kyoga Flamebacks are a Florida strain which most are. That being said the color varies greatly from one individual to the next as far as coverage is concerned but ALL of them are absolutely spectacular. Keep in mind that like most Victorians only the dominant males are going to show the brightest color. But as they sell the next in line will color up. |
|
 |
| While Astatotilapia Calliptera may look like a typical Victorian Cichlid these are native to Lake Malawi. That being said size and temperament are almost identical to most Victorian Haps. These just came in so they haven't colored up but they will within a day or so. Google a pic of thee and you'll see why I was so excited to get them this week. |

| But if you're looking for something on the smaller side we have a great selection of Florida bred medium mix male Peacocks as well. |

| Got in another batch of large Azureus in this week. And yeah, still one of the best looking fish here on the farm. |
